Work with us… Park Ranger

We’re a little glum this month as we’re saying farewell to our Warden, Simon. He is moving on to pastures new after 3 years working here. During his time he has achieved a great deal and worked hard to keep the park not only looking good, but also keep it in a healthy state for our wildlife and also for you – our visitors and supporters.

Just take a look back at some of our blog posts to see the huge variety of the work that is carried out by our Park and Garden team. They’re always busy with one thing or other!

Everyday is different at Charlecote!

This does mean that there is an exciting opportunity for someone new to join the team! Applications need to be submitted through our jobs website and the closing date isn’t far off (18 November). If you are interested or know someone who might be, please take a look.

What we are looking for:

Like everyone here, you love the outdoors. And you’ll love the chance to help more and more people get out there and get active. We’d like you to have a degree or relevant qualification on a relevant discipline, or equivalent practical experience. With strong skills in the knowledge of livestock and tree management you’ll also have a passion for providing the highest levels of customer care. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable, you’ll already have some knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation and if you already have experience of practical deer management and beekeeping, that’s even better. If you also have a knowledge of Higher Level Stewardship schemes or a DSC level 1 deer stalker certificate, that’s great too. Above all, you’ll enjoy sharing your passion and knowledge with visitors, making sure that they have a fantastic outdoor experience.
