Critters on tour

Our Cheeky Charlies have had a very busy summer working on our Children’s Club activities and all the downloadable craft sheets that we think they deserve a little holiday (a real one, not one where they somehow never come back!).

But did you know we have a whole bunch of Charlecote Critters?

Throughout the year they come out of hibernation and take up residence in the house. They provide a fun trail for some of our younger visitors who enjoy spotting them in each of the rooms. At Easter our little yellow chicks come out to play and in June – around the time our fallow deer fawns are beginning to be seen in the park, a sleepy little fawn can be found snoozing in the Library and other rooms.

But what do they do when they’re not delighting visitors in the house?

Well our House Elves take them on their travels! Each elf has a particular little critter that they will care for and take out for adventures. Already they have seen museums, galleries, tea rooms and lakes!

Here are just a few photos, but do take a moment to ‘like’ us on facebook where we will be posting images to our ‘Critters on Tour‘ album.
