What you come across when weeding…

Last week while I was weeding at the back of the croquet lawn border I was tracing some nettles, which had invaded through the walling between the croquet lawn and the cricket pitch. I peered over the wall and was confronted with a mass of back caterpillars infesting a nettle head.


I did some research and found that there black, ugly caterpillars change to this…


And then to this…
