We’re always keen for people to explore our park, get outdoors and enjoy the fresh air.
Recently we welcomed the Octavian Droobers orienteering group who used the park as a course for new and existing members of their group. The event went really well with a number of new faces turning up. We have a few more opportunities you might be interested in hearing about and perhaps getting involved yourself too…
Jamie Francis is a personal trainer who doesn’t live too far from Charlecote. He is now using the park to teach small groups of people about Nordic Walking. This method of exercise is great for the heart and lungs whilst toning the upper body. Its very social too as you can chat as you walk. We’d like to think that Charlecote Park provides a stunning backdrop and perhaps inspires conversation and motivation too! If you are interested in giving Nordic Walking a try, please contact Jamie direct.
An unusual bike ride…
We are thrilled to be working with Mr Phoebus who will be bringing his penny farthing bicycles to Charlecote! Much fun has been had trying them out and we are certain our visitors will be intrigued by them too. Mr Phoebus offers modern, safe, easy-to-ride penny farthings for hire. Dates are 25 May and 21 July – all day. We’ll have a full sized penny farthing you can sit on, bikes to hire and also memento photography from Mr Phoebus.
Keep an eye on our events webpage and on Mr Phoebus’ facebook page for more news soon.
