We have so many visitors who come to Charlecote and spend hours snapping away capturing many special photographs. Sometimes we get to see them when they are shared on our facebook or twitter pages but we’d love to see more of them and find out what views are your favourite, which items of the collection capture your imagination and just how you like to spend your time when with us. In order to help pool these images together we’ve created a Charlecote flickr group.
This group is for visitors and our volunteers to upload photos. It is really easy to do so as explained by the flickr FAQ’s page…
“How do you add a photo to the group?
Easy! If you’re a member of the group, add your photo to the group pool. (If not, join the group, because only group members can contribute to the group pool.)
The easiest way to add a photo to a group is to go to the photo’s page and click the “Add to a Group” link in the actions menu. Then choose the group you want to add it to, and you’re done!
Note: If you share a photo that you marked as private with a group you are a member of, it’s as if other group members have full access to that photo. They can add comments, notes, and tags. The photo isn’t displayed for people who aren’t members of the group.”

What we’d love to be able to do is to dip into this pool of photos from time to time and select some to put on display in our Orangery restaurant or use in our leaflets and interpretation boards. We’d always ask permissions first and contact you via flickr to discuss this.
If you feel you need to brush up on your photography skills don’t forget that we also offer a range of workshops here at Charlecote run in conjunction with Photography Made Simple. We have some dates coming up in the next few months, you can find out more by giving us a call on 01789 470 277 or visiting our events page on the website.
