Well, now you have the chance to delve into archive materials and census’ from days gone by and find out!
The National Trust have been working with the lovely people at Ancestry.co.uk and we now have a computer terminal onsite that you are more than welcome to make use of. The computer has access to millions of records to help you build your family tree.
You’ll find the computer in our small second hand bookshop (located by the entrance to the Victorian Kitchen).
Ancestry have a wonderful online resource that you can access from home and National Trust members can take advantage of a great money saving offer, more information is on our main website…
There are of course many records at local county records offices and also access to records like this at local libraries too!
