We had an exciting day in the gardens yesterday as our new winter interest art installations were brought in by Rachel Carter.
The art is part of our winter programme which has seen pieces from local artists being displayed around the grounds during the winter months. Last year we showed work from Alfreda McHale and in 2010-11 Stephen Charlton’s work provided a quirky trail around the site. You can still see a couple of Stephen’s works as he kindly donated them to us.
This season, Rachels willow sculptures can be found on our Cedar lawn (by the restaurant), just outside the entrance to the house and also on our parterre overlooking the River Avon. The willow looks stunning against the autumnal backdrop of the gardens!
I nipped out of the office yesterday to get a few snaps of them getting put in place.
We’d love to see your photographs of the art too – why not share them on our facebook page?
