Today, 1st June, marks the beginning of National Volunteers Week. A week where we focus on all we’ve achieved with the support of our fantastic team of volunteers. It is also a chance for us to say ‘thank you’ – we really couldn’t do as much as we do without them!
If you’ve visited Charlecote, you’ll have met some of our dedicated volunteers. They help us in pretty much all areas of our work. If you’ve called us to arrange a group visit or ask a questions, chances are they’ll have answered your call. They’re the ones helping our outdoor team tend to the beautiful plants and flowers and tend to the livestock. Our volunteer teams serve you in our shop and drive you in our buggy! We have around 25 members of staff and 250 volunteers… So you see we REALLY couldn’t do it without them.
We usually have a mid-season thank you event during National Volunteering Week for our volunteers but a little thing got in the way – something about diamonds and a royal jubilee? So instead we’re planning a celebration a little later on. Watch this space for photos and a video all about our volunteers by ‘Big Cake productions’!
In the mean time, have a look at this fantastic video filmed at another of our places – Tyntesfield!
So let us take this opportunity to commend all of our volunteers throughout the entire National Trust (especially our dear friends here at Charlecote) who do amazing work every day. We can’t thank you enough!
